Nom Nom: Nobu Waikiki

Hooray for the New Year! and Hooray for another Birthday celebration!

I was very lucky to get to try Nobu Waikiki for my birthday, and even though the weather was cold, windy, and rainy all week, this definitely made me a very happy camper.
Service was awesome, and the ambiance was very chic.

Lanterns hanging all around the restaurant. Kind of a Moroccan theme.

King Crab tempura...delicious. Make sure you mix it with the sauce.

Japanese eggplant and tofu tempura.
Shrimp tempura sushi.

Roasted spring vegetables.

And my favorite of the night...Ribeye steak with three sauces. The balsamic teriyaki was ONO!

For dessert, the bento box. Chocolate flourless cake with green tea ice cream. Did not want to share this. Haha.

Nom Nom: Tokkuri-tei!

We couldn't have just one wolfpack outing, so of course we had to squeeze in one more celebratory meal with our favorite West Coast goofball before his departure. After much debate, we decided to go to Tokkuri-tei and try everything our hearts desired.

Hamachi Truffle
Spicy Tuna Chips, I could eat bazillions of these... soo yummy!
Aspara Buta Bata.  Can't go wrong with anything sautéed in butter!
Spider Poke.  Signature dish

Dragon Roll
Zaru Udon with Quail Egg!

Kurobuta Sausage. Black sausage is always the best.
Enoki and Shimeji Maki.  Can't go wrong when it's wrapped in pork!

Okra Bata.  Not usually a fan of Okra, but this dish was yummms.
Shiso Maki.

Tonkatsu

Sake Dynamite.  An explosion of enoki mushrooms, avocado, tobiko and dynamite sauce!
and for dessert...sakura mochi
now that's what i call a pitcher!
and to top it off, hot sake.
